8D ELIO series

Our 8D ELIO range of 38999 series III circular type connectors include an insert for ELIO optical contact. The Souriau product line of connectors are standard on Airbus aircraft programs such as A380, A350 and A330 for all fiber optic communication.

Flight-proven ELIO fiber optics termini are designed around a sturdy 2.5mm ceramic ferrule, with assembly as easy as an ST connector.  Insertion and retention inside the connector are ensured by a bayonet locking mechanism without the need for special tools. The termini integrates a seal inside the rear boot, thereby sealing the connection from the rear side without a backshell or grommet. The 8D ELIO range covers layouts from 1 to 24 ways in all types of material shells. Each cavity can be upgraded with ELIOBEAM expanded beam ELIO version. The same termini part number can adapt tight or loose structure cable.

Easy to inspect and clean

Unlike the traditional dust collecting and socket design, the female insert termini is flushed to the surface making it easy for the fiber optical end-face inspection and cleaning.
